Power BI Mobile apps now support Goals!

A few months ago we released   Goals in the Power BI service ..  Goals is a great addition to Power BI. Built directly on top of Power BI data, Goals provides a data-driven, collaborative, adaptable way of measuring and tracking progress on key business metrics. Goals enables teams to easily curate the business metrics that matter to them most, and to aggregate those metrics in an easy-to-grasp, unified view. Today we’re excited to announce that we’ve enabled Goals in the latest update of the Power BI mobile apps! Having Goals in your Power BI mobile app lets you monitor the health of your business   directly from your smart phone , no matter where you are. You can also check in and update progress for goals from the app, helping you to ensure that the status of your KPIs are always up to date. On-premises data gateway August 2021 update is now available

We are happy to announce that we have just released the August update for the On-premises data gateway (version   3000.93.3 )     Compatible with August PBI Desktop  This version of the gateway will ensure that the reports that you publish to the Power BI Service and refresh via the Gateway will go through the same query execution logic/run-time as in the August Power BI Desktop version.

Announcing the public preview of Power BI REST API support for DAX Queries

We are very excited to announce the public preview of a new REST API to query datasets in Power BI by using Data Analysis Expressions (DAX). Among other things, this new DAX REST API helps to address customer feedback concerning programmatic access to the data in a dataset (for example, the idea   REST API access to READ datasets   with almost 500 votes by the time of this announcement). The new DAX REST API avoids dependencies on Analysis Services client libraries, requires no connection to   XMLA endpoints , and works in Power BI Premium as well as in Power BI shared capacity. In short, there are many good reasons for BI solution developers to evaluate this REST API during the public preview period. For the best storytelling you need great visuals to create reports that tell compelling stories. In Power BI there are hundreds of available visuals to help you tell your data story. The full library of Power BI visuals created by Microsoft or partners, can be accessed through AppSource, either from the  web page  or through Power BI. Today, we’re thrilled to introduce a new look for the Power BI in-product store coming with August desktop release!  In the store you can browse all the visuals authorized by your organization. What visuals can you find in the store? AppSource visuals: more than 300 stunning visuals created by Microsoft or partners. Organizational visuals: private or AppSource visuals managed by your Power BI admin.
